Double Shot with Joe & Sue – Making Musical Connections,
Assisted by Cocktails. The show is a music and conversation show —
heavy on the music — which will explore the ties that bind our
different heritages, and which will celebrate great music, no matter its
age or gender/genre. A Musical Happy Hour! The shows will have a theme
(such as “A Tale of Two Nashvilles: Altman and ABC” or “Our Favorite
Years”). Nashville artists will be well represented in the selections.
The show will feature household names (think Waylon Jennings) along with
more under-the-mainstream-radar artists (think Kevin Gordon). A show
for folks who like “Dolly Dagger” *and* Dolly Parton! Joe Wolfe-Mazeres
is a music journalist and blogger at http://ear2theground-music.blogspot.com/.
Sue Havlish is an aging hippie rock-chick — who thinks Aerosmith is
kind of a new band. Together, they draw upon their two different (but
frequently overlapping) music experiences which cover more than 60 years
of music: popular, roots, rock, country, folk, new/old/wave,
cutting-edge, alt-everything. But good. It’s gotta be good.
