Manager of Community Development for the Office of Mayor John Cooper. We talk about the recently announced Bordeaux North Nashville
Participatory Budgeting unveil of the 2022 project
selections. During this cycle, residents 14 years and older were eligible to vote;
they cast ballots online, by mail and in person for their top five city
project choices on a list of 25 potential projects. Those ideas – all of
which originated from Bordeaux and North Nashville residents - were
showcased at an October 12 voting expo at the Hadley-Lillard Park
Community Center. Residents cast more than 3,000 votes, and the Participatory Budgeting
steering committee reviewed and adopted the final results on December 15.
