This episode of All About Nashville for a conversation about the new National Museum of African American Music(NMAAM) as I talk with Tuwisha Rogers-Simpson, Vice President of Brand & Partnerships. Tuwisha shares how this brand new 56,000 ft museum located on the corner of Broadway & Re. John Lewis Way has been 20 years in the making & celebrates African American music from all across the country from Harlem, Detroit, Chicago's Southside, Central Ave in L.A., Memphis' Beale Street and of course to Nashville. Starting from the early 17th century to today, NMAAM offers an excursion to over 50 genres and sub-genres of African American musical innovation, development, history and achievement.
