Raised in Nashville, Vidalia Anne Gentry started doing drag in 2015 at an amateur night in Nashville. Since then, she has competed in a national pageant, placing top 12. In addition to performing and emceeing, Vidalia is an activist for HIV/AIDS education and prevention. She joins “Transmission” to talk about the upcoming state legislative session, which includes a bill that would place prohibitions on drag shows.
