"Nashville Helping Nashville" is the fast approaching mega All-Star Musical Benefit by Music Venue Alliance Nashville to raise money to preserve an Independent/Exit coming up on Sunday May 30th so this special edition of All About Nashville hosts two of the bands playing that day.
First is Airshow, a local powerhouse bluegrass band who
combines Americana and jam band roots to create their high flying sound.
Following Airshow we are lucky enough to host the house band for the
headliner, Dirt Reynolds who will performing with a who's who of local
stars as "No More Depression", a tribute to alt-country godfathers Uncle
Tupelo. But Dirt Reynolds is much more than just a house band for a tribute
show. Founded by Chris Watts in late 2019, Nashville-based Dirt Reynolds
released their debut album Scalawag on July 26, 2020. Scalawag combines
raucous rock ’n’ roll and blistering twang with
broke-but-not-broken characters to illustrate the truth and the lies
the American South tells to itself and others.
