Dawana Wade is Executive Director of Salama Urban Ministries, a nonprofit organization that works with youth in the Edgehill neighborhood by providing after-school programming focused on academics, performing arts and spiritual development. She joins transmission to talk about Salama's work, how we can respond to the forces of gentrification in our community, and our collective responsibility to listen to each other.
